How To Wash Your lash Extensions

Are you looking for longer, fuller eyelashes but don’t want to mess with glue and falsies every day? Lash extensions might be the perfect solution for you! These PBT plastic synthetic fibers are attached to your natural lashes to give you the look of longer, thicker lashes.

But how do you take care of your lash extensions? Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to wash your lash extensions:

  1. First things first: Make sure your cleanser is a lash extension approved cleanser. This cleanser must be oil free, and safe to use around your delicate eye skin. We recommend ProLong Lash Extension cleanser.

  2. Make sure to remove all of your makeup, including any eye makeup. This will make it easier to clean your lash extensions and prevent any makeup residue from coming in contact with them.

  3. Wet a clean, soft cleansing brush with lukewarm water. Place a small amount of foaming cleanser onto your eyelid. Gently move the cleansing brush back and forth over the eyelid and rinse. This will remove and oils or left over makeup.

  4. Rinse cleansing brush and repeat step 4. This time apply foam cleanser on to eyelid and work through lashes in a downward motion. Making sure not to “scrub” the lashes as this can cause the lashes to tangle.

  5. Once you can finished cleansing, rinse your lashes by splashing them with water unlit no soap residue is present. Once lashes are soap free, pat dry with a microfiber wash cloth.

  6. It is important to brush your lashes and dry the excess water. Otherwise they will dry clumped together which could affect the look of your lashes. I recommend using a fan or your hairdryer on a cool setting to help dry the lashes.

It’s important to be gentle when washing your lash extensions. Avoid using cotton balls or pads, as the fibers can get stuck to the lash extensions and cause them to fall out. And stay away from harsh makeup removers or cleansers, as these can weaken the adhesive used to attach the lash extensions.

By following these simple steps, you can keep your lash extensions looking beautiful and keeping them clean to avoid infection and premature lash loss.

Happy washing!
